Donate.
Many people have impressed and humbled us by their extraordinary generosity towards the foundation.
We are all the more determined to justify and respect this trust.
Those who donated so generously at our Inaugural Dinner will be named as Foundation Donors and we will be
happy to mention them (and any business interests) on this site.
We give you our collective promise that all donations will be careful managed with the maximum amount going to the intended needy recipients. To demonstrate this promise in action, our accounts will be properly certified and over seen by independent auditors and the government.
Thus far we have managed to run the foundation on a shoestring, funded from our own pockets. As we become busier and more ambitious, we will need to rely more and more upon the continuing generous support of the community and community groups, to support us. This can be indirectly, by enjoying the functions we will put on or directly, by continuing to contribute.
Perhaps you could set up a regular direct debit or send us what you can??
Whatever you can offer us, we will be very grateful and do the very best to continue to justify your trust and faith.
Our Bank Account is at the Bendigo Bank. BSB: 633 000 A/C: 137688842.
Victorian Fundraising Registration #10982.
It is extremely important that all who wish to donate money
do so in one of only 4 (four) ways:
1) Transfer directly to our bank account. This is under your full control and easily checked.
2) SetUp DirectDebit to our bank account. This is not under your direct control but is easily checked.
3) At one of our functions, recognised collectors will be in evidence.
4) Donate through one of us who you know. Expect a receipt when the money is banked.
It can not be emphasised enough that it is unhelpful in the long term to give anything more than small (preferably non-monetary) gifts directly to
anybody we bring over from Palestine.
Large amounts collected for the actual cost of care of the children should ONLY be handed to
Towards Hope. We incur considerable costs in organising these trips and obtaining the appropriate medical care.
This comes from the currently limited resources of Towards Hope, which we actually subsidise from our own pockets.
Accommodation and food and much other help is given freely by our open hearted volunteers.
It is inappropriate for recipients of such generosity to receive additional large cash sums.
Any monetary gifts given in this way may well be seen as for personal use and can come to be seen as a 'Right'.
This can lead to considerable complicated consequences, which may jeopardise individual cases or the sustainability of the Foundation itself.
Obviously everybody wants to help and small gifts (as above) are wonderful.
Thank You for your understanding. We are being very careful how we spend the money YOU donated.
The Towards Hope Foundation. Any questions, please feel free to contact any of us.
